6. Can I mail you my rug for an appraisal?

The possibility of loss with no prior appraisal is extremely risky.  While you can insure the piece for what you think it is worth, the Post Office or UPS will only refund the cost of materials and even then you must have written proof of the cost of materials.  The best way is to deliver the piece in person if possible.
